The Dispatch is a publication about design from Pakistan — and about the objects, rooms and buildings we make our lives inside.
It is published by CONSTRUCT, a design and architecture practice. We started The Dispatch because the design writing we wanted to read — serious about Pakistani making, unembarrassed about beauty, as fluent in a Lahore workshop as in a Venice pavilion — did not yet exist. So we are writing it.
Each issue gathers essays, studio visits and photographs around the questions we keep returning to: how a material carries a history, why a room feels the way it does, what it means to build well in a place under pressure. Alongside the writing we keep a shop — a small, considered catalogue of objects, some made by us and some by makers we admire — because the pieces in a story should be things you can actually live with.
We believe design journalism from this part of the world deserves the same care as the design itself: real reporting, original photography, no filler — and no AI imagery, ever.
